Introducing the Translation Team: Natalie Wilson, Senior Customer Success Manager

Meet Natalie, one of our Senior Customer Success Managers at thebigword. With over 14 years of experience and a passion for client collaboration, Natalie plays a key role in shaping translation solutions that drive real results. We sat down with her to find out what a typical day looks like, her proudest moments, and what keeps her motivated.

What is your role, and what does a typical day look like for you?

As a Senior Customer Success Manager my days are nice and varied but always start with a coffee!

I provide direction and support to our new business team to implement streamlined and efficient translation solutions for new clients. I also oversee service delivery and strategic direction for some of thebigword’s largest private sector accounts. A typical day for me involves meeting with new and existing partners, and close collaboration with our operational and new business teams.  

What’s one thing you wish more clients knew about the work we do?

I wish more clients knew just how broad our range of services is and how flexible we are in delivering them. We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach and tailor our solutions to meet each client’s unique needs.

What’s one project you’re particularly proud of?

Over the years I have worked on so many interesting projects, it’s really hard to say just one! I’m proud of everything I have supported with, particularly some of the more complex implementations with technical integrations involving content management systems.

What’s your favourite part of working directly with clients?

As we provide global translation support I’ve had the chance to connect with clients across different cultures, industries, and roles and I genuinely enjoy learning about their unique perspectives and how they work. There’s something incredibly rewarding about collaborating closely and solving challenges together, and seeing the direct impact of our work on their success!

What’s your go-to productivity hack?

Time blocking! Particularly on busier days I try to structure my day and allocate blocks of time in my calendar around meetings. It helps me prioritise and dedicate time to actions that require a bit more brain power.

What’s one item you couldn’t live without at your desk?

A picture of my little boy. It always makes me smile and it’s a small reminder of what really matters, especially on the more chaotic days.

 What do you love most about working at thebigword?

Over the past 14 years, I’ve had countless opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. I love and appreciate the trust the business places in me to help deliver not only our own objectives but those of our clients. I feel like an integral part of our TBW family, not  just an employee.

What’s a hidden talent or hobby of yours?

I’m definitely lacking finesse these days but I’m actually a trained dancer!
