thebigword joins American Translation Association

 

Global language services provider thebigword has joined the American Translation Association (ATA).

 

The ATA is a professional association founded to advance the translation and interpreting professions and foster the professional development of individual translators and interpreters. ATA has over 10,000 members and includes translators, interpreters, teachers, project managers, web and software developers, hospitals, universities and Government agencies.

 

thebigword works with more than 15,000 linguists and handles 1,000,000 minutes of telephone interpreting a month and 17,000 face to face meetings, as well as half a billion words of translation.

 

The Company works with the New York City Department of Education to provide highly skilled interpreters and translators to more than 6,000 public schools. thebigword has also won a prized place on the Massachusetts Higher Education Consortium (MHEC), which buys services for more than 500 public sector organisations.
