Are women underrepresented in the board room?

thebigword’s deputy chief executive, Diane Cheesebrough will tackle this issue in her keynote address at the forthcoming women on the board at York Science Park on October 5th.

Organised by Paths and Progress and GlueTogether this event seeks to support women and organisations to address the imbalance in board rooms around the country.

In her role at global language service provider thebigword, Diane is focused on driving growth through service excellence and innovation, utilising the strengths of Board members and working with a professional network of over 15,000 linguists to deliver industry leading solutions to clients in the Public and Private sectors. Diane will outline key challenges and strategies for reaching board level, and what organisations can do to leverage their talent across mid, exec and board positions.

Diane Cheesebrough said: I am delighted to be invited to this event in York. At thebigword we have ensured that women are taking their place up and down the business. I am looking forward to sharing experiences and understanding of how we can support further diversity at board room level in both the public and private sectors.
