thebigword Chief Operating Officer scoops Women in Management accolade

Diane Cheesebrough, chief operating officer at technology-driven language solutions provider, thebigword, has been awarded the 2014 Women in Management Excellence Award.

The Leeds-based business woman was presented the award by the Chartered Management Institute at the Queens Hotel in Leeds as part of their National Management and Leadership Awards.

The award serves to recognise women who have excelled in their management role throughout the year.

Speaking about the receiving the accolade, Diane said: “It’s a real honour to receive such a prestigious award from the one of the UK’s leading management programmes.

“Last year was a record year for us here at thebigword and this award is testament to the hard work that has been put in by the whole team. We’re very much looking forward to continuing to work hard to provide the best quality of service to our customers, as well as introducing new products for a successful 2015.”

Diane’s work has allowed thebigword to achieve greater operational efficiency with increased levels of integration between its UK, US, Europe and Asia offices.

Her efforts have also lead to the creation of a more cohesive team strategy, with improved solutions for workload division.
