A team of daring skydivers from thebigword have taken to the skies over East Yorkshire to raise money for the Allied Force Foundation.
This is a cause very close to the hearts of the team at thebigword, as they supply interpreters on both sides of the pond through their Defense Company TBW Global, who work alongside these brave soldiers day in, day out, sometimes in extremely difficult circumstances.
The Allied Forces Foundation do incredible work raising funds for British and American soldiers who have been wounded in recent conflicts, and to raise awareness of the ongoing challenges that the injured families and soldiers have to face.
thebigword team were led by Michele Gould who has been a Director at thebigword for over 37 years and recently took charge of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
Michele Gould said: “To mark the launch of my new role both literally and metaphorically, I decided to do a skydive along with an incredible group of brave, or crazy, colleagues from thebigword.
“The Allied Forces Foundation is a fantastic charity and with its UK and US connections, it was the perfect fit for thebigword.
Michele added: “Whilst I feel a sense of achievement, I’m glad it’s over and I’m never doing a sky dive again!”
thebigword have raised $10,000 for the charity and is continuing to increase this total every day.
