Global language technology company thebigword will be hosting two information sessions focusing on face-to-face interpreting with the Police.
The information sessions which will be hosted on Microsoft Teams will have separate dates, one on the 2nd of February for new linguists and an additional session on the 17th February for existing linguists working with thebigword.
Both sessions will include a variety of topics such as: Working with the Police, working in the industry from a linguist, details about qualifications, security clearances and more.
The session will also include a question-and-answer segment. Prior of the event, thebigword will be inviting linguists to submit any questions they would like the panel to answer.
Gemma Mullock, who works closely with thebigword’s network of linguists said: “We are pleased to be continuing these sessions and in particular this time focusing on face-to-face interpreting with the Police.
We believe these sessions provide perfect guidance for interpreters wanting to work with the Police and for those who already do.”
