VIDEO REMOTE INTERPRETING SAVES LIVES

The current COVID-19 outbreak is convincing health care workers to switch to thebigword’s Video Remote Interpreting service.

Language services provider thebigword has launched a video remote interpreting service (VRI) to give users instant and secure access to face-to-face support from expert linguists.

VRI reduces the risk of spreading the virus, protecting linguists, patients and medical professionals.

VRI works in a similar way to Skype and FaceTime and connects users to professional interpreters for verbal services.

The company’s smart technology enables users to select linguist attributes such as security clearance, qualifications, sector expertise and gender.

Our system matches the right linguists for each appointment type – Matching the right qualification and security clearance level.

Joshua Gould, CEO of thebigword Group, said: “Our VRI service is very popular with our clients, particularly in emergency and police services and during this current pandemic, we encourage health care workers and other emergency services to use this service which will help to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.”

Matt Lowe, UK Sales Director at thebigword, said:  “When conveying important messages, it can be extremely helpful to see the person you are communicating with.

“Facial expressions and body language set the right tone and help to avoid any misunderstanding.”

“VRI saves time and money for users in the public and private sectors and can be more convenient for linguists who do not have to travel to fulfil appointments.
