Executive Chairman of thebigword Group Larry Gould has recently published his memoir, “The Making of Mr Irresistible” (published by AuthorHouse UK).
Larry takes readers on a journey from rags to riches. From starting his career as a 15-year-old high school dropout to creating two multi-million pound businesses, he experienced many bumps in the road in both his personal and business life as he travels around the world from the Soviet Union to the United States, Israel to Ethiopia and more.
Through it all, he overcame hardships by making himself irresistible — a word that is his driving force in business and in life.
“This memoir was written with honesty, integrity and most of all, humour. Many allow their past to define them, but I flip that theory on its head to my advantage,” Larry says. “It is especially relevant as people of all ages face huge challenges in their work, and life. It is a book that gives hope to those who fail and applaud those who succeed.”
When asked what he wants readers to take away from his writing of this memoir, Larry replies, “The fact that no matter how many failures and setbacks, by striving to be irresistible, you can be successful.”
Asked what prompted him to write the book, Larry says that it was partly to mark the 40th anniversary year since he founded thebigword Group in 1980.
