Global Security and Defence Company TBW Global, part of thebigword Group, have been awarded a new tender with the College of Policing.
After successfully securing and delivering the contract for the last five years, TBW Global secured the retender.
The College of Policing was established in 2012 as the professional body for everyone who works for the police service in England and Wales. The purpose of the College is to provide those working in policing with the skills and knowledge necessary to prevent crime, protect the public and secure public trust.
This new tender will allow TBW Global to help the College of Policing in the training of international partners by supporting a vast array of policing courses with translation, interpreting and transcription services.
These courses will be in multiple languages and the training will increase TBW Global partners capacity and capability in best practice policing.
Clare Riches, Chief Commercial Officer at thebigword Group said: “We are delighted to continue to work with the College of Policing to help to support Police officers. We are really proud of the work we do to support the Police with both translation and interpreting services.”
In addition to helping with the localisation of police training materials, TBW Global is proud to provide translation and interpreting services to Police forces around the UK using their all-in-one language platform WordSynk.
WordSynk enables communication between the Police and those who do not speak English, by allowing a connection to an interpreter to be possible in less than 30 seconds where there is a language barrier.
