thebigword celebrates 1 year in India

Global Language Technology company thebigword is celebrating 1 year since opening their operations centre in Pune, India.

The centre was originally opened to allow thebigword to expand in the APAC, with India being the 6th fastest growing economy in the world, playing host to 22 different languages and a population of over 1.34 billion.

This establishment of the larger presence in India allowed thebigword to offer specialised translation and interpretation services using their all-in-one WordSynk platform, as well as expanding their vision of giving everyone the power to communicate without language barriers.

WordSynk provides instant access to translation and interpretation services such as Video Remote Interpreting and Telephone Interpreting, and connects users to a network of over 20,000 professional linguists in over 250 language combinations.

Since opening the centre in Pune has allowed thebigword to support operations 24/7 in India and work with global clients in Japan, China, Europe, UK and the USA.

In the last year, the India team has worked on thousands of projects, translating more than 4 million words as the direct result of these projects. The WordSynk all-in-one application also launched during this time, allowing the team to be involved in projects worth 28 million words, in more than 60+ language pairs.
