Global Language Technology company, thebigword has been awarded the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) framework with National Records of Scotland for interpretation services for Scotland’s Census 2022.

National Records of Scotland is a non-ministerial department of the Scottish Government which is responsible for civil registration, delivery of the census in Scotland, demography and statistics, family history, historical records and national archives.

The CCS framework will allow thebigword to support Scotland’s Census 2022 with telephone interpreting services which can be accessed through the all-in-one WordSynk platform.

The WordSynk platform allows clients to connect with a linguist in under 30 seconds. The platform is available on-demand 24/7 with instant access on any device, with the option to pre-book for scheduled appointments.

Paul Evans, Director of Programmes and Change at thebigword Group said: “We are so pleased to be able to continue to provide interpreting services and support National Records of Scotland with the important work they do.

thebigword’s mission is to break down language barriers wherever they are found and we are glad to be providing our services to those who speak or read limited English.”
